School transport on Anglesey
It is important to consider school transport and catchment areas when choosing a school.
Every school on Anglesey has a defined geographical catchment area. For secondary schools, the child’s home address determines their catchment area, rather than the primary school they have attended.
If you choose a school outside your catchment area, you may need to make your own transport arrangements and cover the cost.
There is no automatic entitlement to free school transport for Year 12 and Year 13 learners. In some circumstances, learners who are not entitled to free transport may be able to apply for a vacant seat on an existing school transport service, subject to availability.
