READING AHEAD 2017
Choose six reads | Challenge yourself to get Reading Ahead
This year we are asking everyone who takes part in the reading challenge, Reading Ahead, to read three things and prepare short comments of two to three sentences on the chosen reading materials before receiving a reading diary from their tutor. In order to complete the challenge it will be necessary to read three other reads of course, such as: poems, magazines, websites, as well as books such as Quick Reads (level Intermediate/Advanced).
You will receive a certificate when you finish all six reads and complete your diary.
There is a long list of suitable books for every level on the Aberystwyth University Learn Welsh website – link below.
If you need help with writing comments about the books you have read take a look at our List of Useful Comments – link below.
We would like to receive photos of you reading in your Welsh class, on the beach, in a caffi etc. Reading alone or in groups. The photos will be used to promote Reading Ahead on our website, facebook and twitter.
Reading Ahead is organised nationally by the Reading Agency in London. To help them assess the impact of the scheme they are asking all participants to take part in a survey 'before' and 'after' the reading challenge - link below.
Your reading diary must be returned by 25 June 2017 at the latest to:
Cêt Morgan, Learn Welsh, Aberystwyth University, P5 Penglais Campus, Aberystwyth SY23 3UX | email@example.com
To take part just tell your tiwtor. Pob Lwc!
